The final PTA General Membership meeting of this school year will take place on
Tuesday, May 13th, at 7:30.
During this meeting all eligible members will be voting on the PTA School
Gift. In addition,
arrangements have been made for a special
presentation on cyber bullying.
Please plan to attend as together, we seek to
keep our students safe at school and at home.
Rain or shine we’ll host the annual Chesterfield Carnival on Saturday, June 7
from 10-2. Returning is parent
alumni, “Carnival King Extraordinaire,” Bob Murphy.
Bob has agreed to help in planning all aspects of the spring carnival
once again. We extend a hearty thanks to him for his tireless commitment to the
Chesterfield School and its students.
Laurie Black and her team will continue their tradition of overseeing the
“Food Court” for this year’s event.
However, a number of our team leaders have either graduated or retired
from carnival duty after many years of service.
WE NEED YOU! It is the
efforts of parents, staff and community members that make this special
Chesterfield School event a success year after year.
Consider leading a team of volunteers to ensure that we can continue this
longstanding tradition. Please
return your volunteer forms to the PTA as soon as possible in order to get your
first choice of assignments.
Another event to look for in the near future is the Staff Appreciation Luncheon
scheduled to take place on Tuesday, May 6, in honor of “National Teacher
Appreciation Day.” Thank you to Debbie Bilancio, Paula Hessinger, Paula LeMunyon
and Lori Weatherwalks for coordinating this fabulous meal for our teachers and
staff on both Chesterfield campuses.
As you plan your meal contributions, don’t forget to purchase your ingredients
using those ShopRite gift cards.*
There will be additional opportunities throughout that week to honor the
tremendous teaching talent and support staff of Chesterfield School.

The 5th and 6th graders will have one final opportunity to
“dance the night away” on May 16th.
Co-chairs Keith Reimann and Melissa Foster have been working diligently to make
sure that this evening activity will be enjoyed by all in attendance.
Many thanks to Keith and Melissa for all they are doing to make this
event a night to remember.
As
this year draws to a close we will see many of our students graduate and move
onto to middle school. With them
will go their dedicated parents who have spent years volunteering at
Chesterfield Elementary. Please
consider where you can best share your time and talents in support of our
children and our community school as new opportunities and roles will be
available in the coming year.
