Welcome to first grade! Thank you for giving me this opportunity to work with your child. I am so excited to begin a wonderful, educational year with all of you. In order to have a successful year I encourage communication between home and school as well as any possible involvement in the classroom. Please don’t hesitate to call, write, or e-mail me before school starts and throughout the year if you have any questions or problems.
School begins on September 5. It is a full day, so pack or have your child buy lunch. Please also have your child bring in a snack packed separately from lunch that they can open/peel themselves. There is a lunch/snack tab on this website for more information. We will be going over routines and procedures and doing lots of fun activities to greet and get to know one another.
Students should also bring in their supplies unless they have pre-purchased a school supply kit. It is important to remind your child how he/she is getting home (champions, pick up in the atrium, bus, or walker) the first day of school, since dismissal may be a little hectic. Feel free to send a note about dismissal, if you know your child may get anxious or forget what he/she should do.
Don’t forget to *Sign Up for REMIND Messaging see the Remind tab on this website to get started and receive classroom updates, reminders, and information throughout the year.
Thank you in advance for sharing your child with me. I look forward to meeting you personally at our Back to School Night and working with you throughout the year!
