Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Jennifer Ancelo

In my eyes, teaching is the greatest profession.  I've been lucky enough to have spent the last 20 years of my life as a teacher.  I spent the first ten years teaching in a private school setting, grades 6-8.  Following that, I spent a year teaching special education in an urban setting to middle school students.  The last six years were spent teaching middle school in Hopewell, New Jersey.  About half of my time was spent working with special education students.  I'm excited to join Chesterfield as your newest 6th-grade teacher.  I love teaching and consider myself a life-long learner.  My undergraduate degree specializes in elementary education.  I also hold a Master of Science in Applied Psychology- behavioral practices, and a Master of Arts in Special Education.  In addition, I am highly qualified in the areas of language arts and social studies.

Outside of school,  I spend my time with my family.  My husband Anthony and I are parents to our 4-year-old daughter, Ava, and our 2-year-old son Anthony Joe.  We enjoy the outdoors, often spending time with horses and donkeys on neighboring farms.  We also enjoy the company of our puppy, Gus, a golden retriever, and our cat, Jasmine.   My hobbies include cooking, baking, reading, running, biking, swimming, and of course, teaching!
