BASIC SKILLS PROGRAM
Basic Skills Teachers:

Chesterfield Township School's program for instruction in Basic Skills is designed to remediate gaps in student learning through targeted academic interventions. The goal is to promote independence in the classroom.
Students in kindergarten through sixth grades whose academic performance suggests learning gaps in reading, writing, and/or mathematics are eligible for Basic Skills support. Instruction is provided using a variety of instructional formats to ensure that all district students acquire the basic skills suited to their grade level and capacity. We strive to develop in our students the literacy and math skills necessary for achievement of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS).
